I thought I'd post these designs, even though they're a personal design and not work-related in the strictest sense, as I'm very proud of the work. My sister was getting married, and asked me to design her wedding invitations, menus and other wedding-related pieces. The theme was USA, as that was the destination of their honeymoon, and she had given me her itinerary as a starting point.
Using these landmarks as a guide, I used Google Earth and its incredible 3D mapping and 3D buildings, and cut out and traced designs from the application, creating a theme-park style map of the wedding tables. The invitation was a different affair, as Catherine and Stu were getting married in Bridlington, so the invitations obviously had to mimic traditional seaside postcards. The photographs featured in the design were taken by my parents who live in the area.
