I may have mentioned in previous posts the rather difficult deadlines when designing sleeves for whole-school projects while the larger job of finalising the performance visuals looms nearer. Although this project was no exception, the programme sleeve design was a slightly easier affair, as it was suggested early in the project that rather than try for inclusion of all year group's work in the design, it would be better to attempt a stronger design with inclusion as a secondary concern.
So, using the photographs taken during the light sculpture workshops I'd worked on with year 6, I merged the illuminated lines with stills of year 6's choreography. A few adjustments and many layers in the Gimp later, the design was complete.
